FRESH from being cast in an upcoming Adam Sandler film alongside US comedy queen, Amy Schumer, Urzila Carlson is preparing for her biggest ever Australian tour.

The You Don't Say Tour hits Australia in 2025 and includes a show at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre on August 15.

It will be the South African-New Zealand stand-up comedian's biggest ever Newcastle show after previously selling out the Civic Theatre.

"You Don't Say is a show born out of sarcasm and storytelling from the mind of a woman who might be slightly out of her mind," Carlson said.

"I cannot wait to tour this show and bring it to your ears."

Next year is predicted to see the 47-year-old's career rise to new heights. Earlier this year Carlson was part of the ensemble cast for Kinda Pregnant, which stars Schumer and Damon Wayans Jr.

The film is due for release in early 2025 on Netflix.

After filming Kinda Pregnant Carlson performed her first ever US show in Los Angeles at the Netflix Is A Joke Festival, selling out the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

Also this year Carlson voiced the character Honkus in the animated film Ozi, which stars Donald Sutherland, Laura Dern and Ru Paul.

Tickets for Urzila Carlson's Newcastle show go on sale Wednesday at 2pm.
