Rishi Sunak is putting a stop to ministers appearing on breakfast TV and radio shows every single day.
Until now, one minister has been chosen by No10 each day to answer questions on popular programmes including BBC Breakfast, Good Morning Britain and BBC Radio 4’s Today Programme each day. The Mirror reported that the government will now only provide a minister to be interviewed around three mornings a week instead.
A Tory source said they would be "flexible" and put ministers on the airwaves when "there is something relevant to talk about" or "the public need to hear from government". They will focus on days when they have an announcement.

The move to scale back the daily interviews is likely to attract criticism for dodging scrutiny, given that Mr Sunak promised "integrity, professionalism and accountability at every level" when he entered Downing Street.
When Boris Johnson was in the Prime Minister's seat he boycotted any Good Morning Britain appearances for months. It came as Mr Johnson was accused of hiding in a fridge to dodge Piers Morgan and Susana Reid's questions.
