Rishi Sunak has been branded a "moron", a "wretched little man" and a "back-stabbing scrote" by one of his party's own election candidates.
Jeremy Craig-Weston, who is standing as a Tory candidate in today's council elections in Oldham, said he "loathes" the PM, who he has branded a "back stabbing scrote".
Other online posts by the Conservative hopeful brand anti-Semitism a "scam", and hit out at local council "Nazis". Party chiefs are investigating the comments.
In posts on blog sharing site Disqus in recent weeks, Mr Craig-Weston said he has been struggling to muster the enthusiasm to campaign for the Tories.
One scathing message said: "Rishi Sunak who is not so much evil as just a moron, (I can't help think that his wife might well make a far better minister than him,) and who is completely disconnected from the lives and needs of everyone not born into his own class, absolutely couldn't care less and doesn't even understand what the problem is."
Another read: "I've been out delivering leaflets regularly and talking to a few people I've met doing it, about local issues but to be perfectly honest I can't muster any real enthusiasm for going round door-knocking on behalf a party that's now being led led by Rishi Sunak whom I pretty much loath."
And another, referring to Boris Johnson's removal by a Tory rebellion last year, called Mr Sunak a "back stabbing scrote and last person we need as PM".
Shabana Mahmood, Labour's National Campaign Coordinator, said the remarks show how weak Mr Sunak's authority on the party is.
She said: "Even the Conservatives' own candidates have no faith in their leader to tackle the cost of living crisis, cut crime and cut NHS waiting lists.
"The Tories are out of touch and have no answers to the big issues facing our country."
A Conservative spokesman said: "Given there is an ongoing investigation into this, we are unable to comment on the matter at this time."
Elsewhere Mr Craig-Weston proclaimed himself to be: "Bored with the Antisemitism scam; which was deployed against both Jeremy Corbyn for criticizing the policies of the modern state of Israel and against Andrew Bridgen who was actually quoting a Israeli scientist, for question the Covid vaccination narrative."
Mr Corbyn was kicked out of Labour after he lashed out at findings by the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC).
And Mr Bridgen had the Tory whip revoked after he after comparing the Covid vaccine rollout to the Holocaust.
And reacting to plans to plans to give local authorities greater power to tackle anti-social behaviour he said: "More powers for the the unaccountable box ticking council Nazis.
"A further step towards the criminalization of poverty. Existing laws and powers are already perfectly adequate to deal with this issue anyway."
