NEW DELHI: Speaking about Rishabh Pant's game-winning 89 not out against Australia at the Gabba during the 2020-21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy series, former India head coach Rahul Dravid suggested that the wicketkeeper batsman has "taken to Test cricket like a duck to water" and described his performance in the red-ball format as "sensational."
On the last day of the fourth and final Test, when India was chasing an intimidating score of 328, Pant had his magnificent effort. In addition to securing a historic 3-wicket victory, his counterattacking approach also broke Australia's 32-year unbeaten streak at the Gabba, giving India a 2-1 series win.
