Rise and Fall viewers were left complaining minutes into Monday night's episode following an elimination.
The programme, which is hosted by Greg James, sees 16 ordinary people be placed either as a member of the elite as a Ruler or as a powerless Grafter in a bid to take home £100,000. Those without power in the game will have the chance to rise up through the ranks and win a cash prize.
After being voted out by her fellow Rulers, Ramona was forced to leave the show but viewers were disappointed she didn't end up in the basement with the Grafters. Viewers were hoping that after getting banished from the penthouse, former Rulers would have the opportunity to work in the basement with the rest of the Grafters in a twist of fate.
Viewers took to Twitter to share their disappointment about the elimination decision and pointed out the irony of the name Rise and Fall. One said: "So (from what I understand now) the grafters can rise and a leader leaves every two days. Was hoping a leader could fall and become a grafter. #RiseAndFall."
"If the entire premise is that you can only rise to the top and only be eliminated from the top, and not get kicked back down to the bottom or eliminated without rising, this is going to get old and tired pretty fast #RiseAndFall," said another fan, "Like if that's the case, #RiseAndFall is misleading. It should be called Rise And Leave."
A third added: "Should have been called rise and out seeing as the contestants don't go to the basement (fall) if voted out but have to leave. #riseandfall," a fourth penned.
Someone else echoed: "just stay downstairs for a bit, what’s the incentive to go upstairs right now? seems like you’re the only people who can be eliminated #RiseAndFall."
Another added: "I still think there's so much more satisfaction by making the rulers go down to the basement when voted out. Who wouldn't want to see Ramona cope down there? #RiseAndFall."
After Ramona's short but sweet stint on the show, the Grafters had the opportunity to vote for the next ruler within their ranks. The two most popular Grafters will be allowed to go up to the penthouse to meet the other Rulers, who will then make the decision on which contestant will join their life of luxury.
Marina received four votes from her fellow Grafters, and was forced to choose either Connor or Jeff to join her as they were tied for votes.
