Riot Games' upcoming fighting title 2XKO is currently having its Alpha Lab test that showcases its various features and finally lets some players dive head-first into the new game.
With the game now being playable at last, players are already trying to make the best of it as some have started tournaments to test their mettle against other fighters. One Twitch streamer, TampaNeverSleeps, is now holding a special 2XKO Teams event.
2XKO Alpha Lab Test
This focuses on the game's 2v2 feature and includes several top players such as TSM Leffen, Diaphone, K7 Showoff, Cloud805, Smij, Angelic, and many others. The one-night tournament received 124 team sign-ups, bringing the total number of competitors to 248.
The matches for the player-made event will be played as a best of three until they reach the Winners' finals where it will be best of five sets.
Teams who go 0-2 will be put in an extra redemption bracket that was made as another tournament for those who are newer to the game or genre, according to EventHubs.
The Alpha Lab test for 2XKO is still a super early build for the game and it features screens and UI elements that are still works in progress. Many players should also expect a decent amount of extremely poor or unreliable quality while playing the game.
There are some things worth noting for those who are playing the Alpha Lab test, which is first; making sure that you log in with the correct Riot account.
If you mistakenly create a new account or sign in to the wrong Riot account, you will be locked out of the Alpha Lab test.
Second, you should not stream or show other people the process of linking your Riot account and console account. This is because any person can scan the QR code that is used for linking, including viewers, said Riot Games.
Discovering Devastating Combos
Riot Games is asking players to submit reports and feedback regarding their experiences with 2XKO, noting that it is still in development. The company also said that players will receive a feedback survey email after the Alpha Lab test ends on Aug. 19, 2024.
As soon as players got their hands on 2XKO, many people already tried to break the game, with some even somewhat succeeding. This is because some players have already found touch-of-death combos.
These are combos that, while niche, are sometimes quite useful and show a glimpse of the potential of Riot Games' latest title.
