Riot is releasing a League of Legends platformer game this summer

Riot is almost ready to launch Convergence, the League of Legends game that blends platforming action with some of the multiplayer game‘s most popular characters. Over a year after unveiling the game, Riot announced Convergence will launch sometime in summer 2023 for PC, PS5 and PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Convergence doesn’t have a solid release date yet – just a summer timeframe.

The announcement came as part of a broader roadmap teasing what Riot has in store for the rest of the year, which, aside from Convergence, includes Mageseeker, an RPG set to launch in spring 2023.

Convergence follows Ekko in his youth as he travels across Zaun, using his signature time abilities to manipulate the universe and any foe who stands in his way. While you’d expect jumping in a platformer game, Convergence does things a bit differently. Riot describes it as a “parkour platformer,” so expect plenty of high-flying shenanigans and vertigo-inducing challenges along Ekko’s journey.

That’s about all Riot had to say for Convergence, which, admittedly, is about the same as Riot’s said for Convergence in the last two years. Hopefully, we’ll get a glimpse of a dedicated trailer in the coming months ahead of Convergence’s launch.
