Riot Games has officially revealed the 27th agent for its popular PvP shooter "Valorant," Tejo, an Initiator who can call down an airstrike to rain destruction on your enemies.

The studio also revealed the character's abilities and showcased what they can do in a new trailer for the agent.

The newest Initiator in the game hails from Colombia and has what seems to be a military-themed kit that can disrupt enemies and open up opportunities for his teammates.

Valorant's Newest Agent

Tejo's abilities include drones, specialized grenades, and an airstrike that will make your enemies feel like they're on the wrong side of the battle. The agent's kit focuses on pushing enemies out of their positions, which sounds great on offense but not much on defense.

Riot Games has recently been on top of balancing agents to make them feel good to use but not overpowered to the point that the meta revolves around them. This means that players can expect to see Tejo in action on both sides of the fight, according to Forbes.

One of Tejo's abilities is specialized grenades that will concuss enemies that are hit, making them more vulnerable. He also has a drone that will suppress foes it targets, as well as missiles that travel to targeted locations and deal damage.

The main thing about the new agent's abilities is his ultimate Armageddon, which essentially summons an airstrike to rain destruction on your enemies. This ability lets players select a start and end point for the tactical strike, which makes it very flexible.

What To Expect From Tejo

In a statement, game designer for Tejo, Ryan "Rycou" Cousart, talked more about "Valorant's" newest agent. He said they had a gameplay opportunity to bring an Initiator who thought of the game's map in a different way, the PlayStation Blog said.

Cousart said that Tejo takes a more top-down approach to the game instead of the typical one-by-one angles. He added that the team wanted to try to add new abilities that can flush out other characters to create windows of opportunities for allies.

Tejo's arrival comes alongside a new Battle pass for "Valorant" that is set to arrive with Season 25 Act 1 on Jan. 8, 2025. There are various skin sets and cosmetics that will be introduced in the new pass, as well as a Flex item.

The game's Battle Pass will have free and premium tiers, the latter of which will cost 1,000 in-game points to purchase, which is equal to about $10. The paid track also includes a Heiroscope melee weapon, according to Sports Illustrated.
