Rio Ferdinand has praised Liverpool striker Diogo Jota for his performance in his start after returning from a hamstring injury in the Reds' win over Ajax.
Liverpool put last week's embarrassing loss in Naples behind them with a 2-1 victory over Ajax at Anfield to move to second in group A in the Champions League.
Mohamed Salah opened the scoring before Mohammed Kudus levelled. Joel Matip scored an 89th minute winner in front of the Kop end.

Jota played a key role in Salah's opening goal as he slid the ball through for the Egyptian in what was a promising performance from the Portugal international.
Speaking to BT Sport after Liverpool 's win, Ferdinand said: " Jota does really well, I think he’s been a big miss injury wise, he gives them that little something in the box, he can finish. In the end he gives it to Mo Salah and you know it’s only going to end up in one place and it’s the back of the net."
With Darwin Nunez settling into life at Liverpool after his big-money move from Benfica in June, Jota will be key to Liverpool reviving their season after a difficult start to the new campaign.
