Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand believes new Everton signing Amadou Onana can have a similar impact to Marouane Fellaini.
Onana, 20, joined the Blues from Lille earlier this week and had a positive impact when he came on as a substitute in the 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon. After making a mistake that led to the hosts' second goal, it was his cross that was turned into the back of the net by ex-Everton defender Lucas Digne.
Ferdinand was impressed by Onana's influence and made the comparison to Fellaini, who made over 170 appearances for the Blues between 2008 and 2013.
