The project involves a cover of the rock band T. Rex's song 'Children of the Revolution,' featuring vocals by Axl Rose, bass by Duff McKagan, drums by Ringo Starr, and piano by Elton John. Slash also contributed guitar to the track.
This charity cover of 'Children of the Revolution' will be auctioned off to benefit teen cancer. Starkey emphasized that no major label is involved in the project, as one company sought a large share of the funds in return for participation.
Additionally, Starkey hinted at a larger project in the works, mentioning that it is a full album with a lineup of performers that includes 'more than one Beatle,' among others. This strongly suggests the involvement of both McCartney and Starr in the album.
The last known collaboration between Starr and McCartney was in 2023 when they worked on the single 'Now and Then,' considered the 'last' Beatles song. This unique track was created using artificial intelligence technology, incorporating recordings of John Lennon and George Harrison.
