If you’re looking for something to brighten and ruin your day all at the same time, then you’re going to want to see where the Minnesota Vikings landed in the ranking of franchise winning percentages in the Super Bowl era.
In a social media post from NFL on CBS, all 32 teams were ranked according to winning percentage. Surprisingly enough, despite never winning a Super Bowl, the Vikings came in at No. 5 on the list with a .557 winning percentage.
To make matters worse, every other team in the top-10 has won multiple Super Bowls with Minnesota being the only ones with a goose egg next to their name.
Now that’s a wild statistic.

It almost seems like the Vikings are cursed at this point.
The good news is they appear to be on the right track towards someday putting an end to this mind-numbing statistic once and for all. Coach Kevin O’Connell is a Super Bowl champion who knows what it takes to get to the Promised Land.
And general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has the willpower and drive to make a long-awaited dream a reality for a deserving Vikings fan-base.
“So I didn’t really know, but [Vikings fans] love football,” said Adofo-Mensah, when appearing on NBC Sports’ Pro Football Talk in May. “First and foremost, they love ball here. This thing is impacted on you the second you get here. I got a t-shirt. I think somebody mailed me one, ‘Once before I die.’ So that message is pretty clear.”
We’re getting closer to finding out how close—or how far—Adofo-Mensah and O’Connell are from delivering on that dream.
