December is officially here - along with the wintery weather conditions - and somehow we're almost half way through the month already.
And as many of us prepare to get into the festive spirit by dressing up in our favourite Christmas jumpers or decorating our homes, there's another way you can make your place more merry.
Over the last few years, many people have purchased Ring Video Doorbells - or similar - to make themselves feel a safer as well as to keep an eye on people coming to their home. But as well as helping provide some peace of mind, did you know your Ring Doorbell can also provide some festive cheer?

According to the Mirror, people can change the sound of their doorbell to a more merry chime. Not only that, but you can also add a Christmas message for guests or anyone coming to the door.
All you need to do to select a new chime is make sure you've got the Ring app installed on your phone or tablet and then select the Ring device you want to edit. After these steps you head into the audio settings for your doorbell and from here you should see an option for Chime Tones.
Click on this and you'll be able to browse through a number of options, including Christmas chimes such as Festive Ding Dong and Holiday Jingle.
Once you've found the one you like, make sure to hit save changes to use the new sound.
For those who want to add a festive message, you can do so by altering your Quick Replies and instead of a standard greeting, you could have one that says: "Merry Christmas!... We’re a little, wrapped up at the moment. Leave a message."
To do this and leave a merry message, you need to open the app, select your device, then under Quick Replies you'll be able to make the changes you want.
If this wasn't all festive enough, you can also give your doorbell a Christmas makeover to match the decorations in your home, as Ring sell interchangeable holiday faceplates that snap on over the top of your device. There are five different looks to choose from, including snowflakes, Christmas wreath and Christmas lights and each cost £14.99.
