Rihanna 'welcomes first child into world' with boyfriend A$AP Rocky

Singing icon Rihanna has given birth to a baby boy, according to reports. Rihanna and her boyfriend A$AP Rocky became proud parents, much to the to the delight of fans - according to US site TMZ.

The couple made the surprising announcement that Rihanna was expecting back in January. Fans were ecstatic at the news and desperate to learn as much as possible about the pregnancy.

But it seems that these speculations were not correct as Rihanna reportedly gave birth to a baby boy, according to TMZ. The publication claimed: "According to official records, he was born on May 13 in Los Angeles - but we don't yet know his name."

Rihanna has drawn attention throughout her pregnancy with a series of stunning looks. These included a wide range of outfits which showed off the star's baby bump.

Rapper A$AP Rocky was asked in May last year if he ever wanted to become a father. Speaking to GQ magazine, the partner of Rihanna said that having a family is "in my destiny, absolutely". He added: "I think I'd be an incredible, remarkably overall amazing dad. I would have a very fly child. Very."

Rihanna had previously told how she hoped to have three or four children in an interview with Vogue. Before she announced her romance with A$AP, she said she would be happy to raise a child by herself if she didn't meet the right person.

The singer explained: "I feel like society makes me want to feel like, ‘Oh, you got it wrong…’ They diminish you as a mother if there’s not a dad in your kids’ lives. But the only thing that matters is happiness, that’s the only healthy relationship between a parent and a child. That’s the only thing that can raise a child truly, is love."
