Rihanna 'set to announce music comeback and UK stadium shows 10 years after last tour'

Rihanna is preparing to make a long-awaited return to live music, with plans under way for a major UK stadium tour, according to industry sources.

The global superstar, who has sold more than 250 million records worldwide, is understood to have begun mapping out a run of shows last August.

This year marks a significant milestone, a decade since the release of her last album, Anti, and ten years since she last toured.

An announcement is expected soon, following what insiders describe as a false start last summer, when concerts were quietly shelved after the singer discovered she was pregnant.

She welcomed her third child, a daughter named Roki Irish, in September.

“Rihanna is raring to go and cannot wait to get back on the road,” a source told The Sun. “She had to cancel her shows planned at the London Stadium last summer because she was expecting her daughter. But the cancellation couldn’t have worked more in her favour.

“This month she will celebrate the tenth anniversary of Anti, which coincides with a decade since she last toured, so it feels massive to her and her team. Rihanna has loved being a mum to her kids and has been so busy working on her Fenty fashion brand, but music is her soul passion.

“She’s ready to get back out on stage and wants her fans to hear the music she has been working on. This is going to be a monumental year for Rihanna and fans can expect massive shows. It’s going to be a sell-out, that’s for sure.”

The Standard has contacted Rihanna’s rep for comment.

Earlier this week, the 37-year-old sent fans into a frenzy after joking about the possibility of expanding her family again.

Responding to a video shared by Love Island star Montana Brown that read: “Deciding to get hot and sexy or get pregnant in 2026,” Rihanna replied: “Wait! So I’m not crazy then? Bet!”

The Barbadian singer shares sons Rza and Riot and daughter Rocki with rapper A$AP Rocky. One of the best-selling female artists of all time, she has notched up four UK No 1 albums and 31 Top Ten singles.

Her last full tour was in 2016, when she played four UK dates including Wembley Stadium, V Festival in Chelmsford and Coventry’s Ricoh Arena.

Her most recent live performance came in 2023, when she headlined the Super Bowl halftime show in Arizona.
