Rihanna confessed it was 'harder' to keep her pregnancy a secret from her friends than it was keeping it from the public.
The Don't Stop The Music singer recently announced she is expecting a little one with boyfriend A$AP Rocky in the most RiRi way possible - with a casual paparazzi photoshoot.
Fans were shocked at the glorious announcement and the star now says it was harder to hide the news from her friends.
"It was harder for me to keep it from my posse because they're around me, they know my habits," she told E!
"They're like, 'You don't want something to drink? You're not smoking?' And I'm eating all the things I'm not used to eating. They know I hate sweets and I'm all of a sudden asking for cookies and doughnuts."
She continued: "But finally, I just had to let it all out, and they were all shocked, of course, as the world was shocked as well."
RiRi and A$AP- real name Rakim Mayers - announced the pregnancy in a stunning Harlem photo shoot at the end of January.
The mum-to-be braved the freezing temperatures and unbuttoned her bright pink coat to show off her baby bump.
She adorned her baby bump with an elegant gold cross chain which trailed down to her low-rise ripped jeans.
The Pon De Replay singer began dating the Goldie rapper in 2020 after years of friendship.
Rocky and Rihanna made their debut as a couple in September 2021 at the Met Gala.
The rapper called Rihanna the "love of his life" and told GQ: "She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. I think when you know, you know. She’s the one."
Rumours about the couple expecting their first baby have been swirling for weeks after Rihanna was spotted in New York wearing oversized dresses and sweatshirts.

Despite the speculation, Rihanna shut down rumours she was pregnant in December when quizzed by fans.
"Can I come to the baby shower sis!? True or not your babies are going to be beautiful. Sorry everyone’s up in your uterus right now," one tweeted her.
Rihanna cheekily responded: "Ha! Stop! You ain’t came to the first 10 baby showers! Y’all breed me every year dammit lol."
A few days after the pregnancy announcement, it was reported that RiRi and A$AP are planning to marry in Barbados after she gives birth.
" Rihanna is totally smitten with A$AP,” the source says. “They have a very close bond and Rihanna has always been quite traditional.
"They will be married, for sure. She has told pals she wants to be with him forever, and he has said the same."
