Ridvan Yilmaz has expressed his joy after making a rare start for Rangers on Premier Sports Cup duty.
The left-back was one of a few starring lights for manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst as his side toiled in their 1-0 quarter-final win against Championship side Dundee. There have been rumours swirling around the Turkish international this month that a loan move back to his homeland to the likes of Galatasaray could be on just a few months after being hailed as a big money signing at Ibrox.
This was just his third start ahead of usual left-back option Borna Barisic and his fifth appearance overall for Rangers. But taking to social media, he insists he is ready to make a sustained impact on helping the Light Blues: "Another victory at Ibrox and now we are at the semi-final. Perfect to play at Ibrox and thank you for all the support."

His manager was from happy though with the performance and insisted that his players deserved to be booed off the park.
Van Bronckhorst conceded on Sportsound: “They are right to boo. I wasn’t happy with the performance either. There’s only one thing to change that and it’s to improve our performance on Saturday.
“When you are not playing well they will tell you and that’s how it should be. They are our fans and we want to give them success and good matches and if we are not bringing that then we should feel it as well.
