The bank holiday weekend has once again brought visitors flocking to Snowdonia national park in North Wales, as this video taken yesterday (Thursday) shows.
A long queue of parked cars formed alongside the A5, in the footage taken at around 2pm near Llyn Ogwen, between Bethesda and Capel Curig. The 43-second clip shows the entire roadside occupied by vehicles, with little to no space in between them. Unlike on other occasions where parking issues have effectively led to lane closures, vehicles were able to squeeze past on this occasion, reports North Wales Live.
The road is a popular parking spot for walkers as, in addition to the lake itself, it leads to the Carneddau and Glyderau ranges which are among the most popular ranges in Snowdonia. The scenes captured in the footage are yet more evidence of how busy parts of the national park have become over bank holidays in particular.

The video was filmed by Lucia Haf who said: "It's the same every bank holiday and nothing seems to get done about it. The authorities had all winter to sort something out but nothing's been done. It's just getting ridiculous now."
Previously, those hoping to make the most of the Easter weekend sunshine on Snowdonia were met with queues worse than Alton Towers. Car parks and laybys were full and online allegations about visitors finding human poo on Snowdon sparked heated debates.
Some said Wales' highest peak was now "busier than Blackpool", others noted that queuing times for Alton Tower’s rides were often shorter than the wait to reach Snowdon's summit.
