Ricky Hatton inquest confirms cause of death

Ricky Hatton Alison Mutch Paul Speak Samaritans

Ricky Hatton's injuries were "consistent with hanging" when he was found dead at his home, an inquest has heard.

Former boxing world champion Hatton, 46, was discovered dead by friend and manager Paul Speak at his home in Hyde, Greater Manchester, on September 14 2025.
