Ricky Gervais has joined the fight to save the life of Irish man's dog.
Former garda Donal Rodgers' dog was court ordered to be put down after she bit a woman in Co Roscommon.
The 84-year-old owner of the dog named Kim was left devastated after the six-year-old canine bit the woman as she walked past his home.

The woman reported the incident and told the District Court that the wound had required multiple stitches.
After hearing the case, the court ruled that Kim would have to be put down due to her behaviour.
Rogers told The Irish Times that he's "certain that she is not dangerous. Kim is a pet, she never bothered or injured anybody before or since."
The owner is now appealing the case in the hopes of keeping Kim alive.
An online fundraiser has been started to support Rodgers in paying his legal bills and has collected over €12,000 to date - far surpassing the initial goal of €5,000.
A social media user made Ricky Gervais aware of the fundraiser on Twitter , which he then retweeted and called "so sad and frustrating."
He asked his 15 million followers on the social media platform if anyone knew how to help Rogers save his dog from being forcibly put down.
Ricky's appeal was liked by over 1,800 people and has been retweeted by over 500 people so far.
The tweet also triggered multiple responses by people who criticised the treatment of dogs in Ireland.
Although the comedian has regularly found himself in controversy over his offensive jokes, he is also known for his love of animals.
He is a patron of British dog charity Paws2Rescue and donated over £400,000 of ticket sales from his SuperNature tour to three animal charities.
In his Netflix original series After Life , Gervais portrays a grieving husband struggling to find purpose in life.
His character also owns a dog, which ends up giving him a clear reason to keep going.
But whether his support for Donal Rogers and his dog Kim will help save her life remains to be seen, as the former garda is set to make another attempt to appeal against the order in the Circuit Court.
