NEW YORK — Most pop stars take some time before they hit the big time, putting out a few albums before one sticks. With Rick Astley, it took just his first song.
“With me, it’s like, song one—Boom! No.1 all over the world,” Astley says via Zoom. “I was just trying to write something that you could sing along to in the chorus.”
