Nottingham Forest defender Richie Laryea has returned to former club Toronto FC on a year-long loan.
The Canadian international has been starved of minutes since joining the Reds in January and with his country's first World Cup appearance since 1986 on the horizon, Laryea has left the Reds temporarily. Laryea, 27, has only made five appearances for Forest after joining from Toronto as he was forced to play second fiddle to the brilliant form of Djed Spence.
Spence has since joined Tottenham Hotspur, but Forest replaced him with £17million signing Neco Williams and Giulian Biancone also coming in to provide cover for both Williams and right-sided central defender Joe Worrall.

Laryea was also left out of the squad for the play-off final at Wembley, with Max Lowe making a surprise return to take his place on the bench.
Despite his struggles so far at Forest, Laryea is a regular starter for Canada and he will be determined to maintain his position ahead of the World Cup finals in Qatar this winter. Laryea could play as soon as against Nashville on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Joe Lolley is poised to move to Australia with Sydney FC his reported destination. He will sign a two-year deal.
