Richarlison and Brazil were on the lips of all football fans on Monday evening following a World Cup masterclass against South Korea. In a game which saw the Tottenham striker go head-to-head with Spurs teammate Son Heung-min, it was the Brazilian who prevailed in the end.
Brazil were at their very best in the first half at Stadium 974, racing into a four-goal lead after only 36 minutes. Richarlison was at the heart of their dominant display as he won a penalty for Neymar to convert and then scored a stunning goal of his own.
Looking like he had already wrapped up the Goal of the Tournament award following his sensational acrobatic effort in their group opener against Serbia, Richarlison's latest effort may have indeed overtaken his second goal of the competition. Juggling the ball on his head outside the box before getting it down and finding Marquinhos, the PSG man linked up with fellow centre-back Thiago Silva, who in turn picked out Richarlison with a brilliant first-time pass to finish off in style.
