Richarlison pictured back at Everton after completing £60million Tottenham transfer

Tottenham Hotspur’s new £60milion signing Richarlison has been back at Everton's training ground saying his goodbyes.

The Brazilian international became Antonio Conte’s side’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window last week, becoming Spurs’ all-time most expensive signing and taking their total spend to £85million so far this summer.

The move to North London ended Richarlison’s four-year spell at Goodison Park, where he netted 53 times in 152 appearances in all competitions, including 43 goals in the Premier League. He had been an integral part in their successful fight against relegation last season.

Following the Brazilian international's exit to what is his third club in England following a spell at Watford prior to joining Everton, Richarlison has today been pictured back at Finch Farm, saying his goodbyes to the Everton staff he worked alongside.

While Richarlison has moved to Spurs, he will not be available to play in Tottenham ’s opening match of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign, having been given a one-match ban by the FA on Tuesday morning. During a dramatic 1-0 win over Chelsea at Goodison Park, Richarlison, who scored the winning goal that day, threw a flare into the crowd after it had been launched onto the pitch by an Everton fan.

That suspension rules him out of facing Southampton on the opening weekend of the new season, meaning that Richarlison could make his Spurs debut under Conte against the Italian manager’s former side Chelsea on the weekend of August 13.

Of the four signings made by Conte so far, three have been from domestic rivals. Goalkeeper Fraser Forster has joined on a free transfer from Southampton and is expected to provide back up for captain Hugo Lloris this season. Spurs also spent £25m to complete a move to sign Mali international midfielder Yves Bissouma from Brighton and Hove Albion, with their other acquisition being that of Croatian World Cup finalist Ivan Perisic.
