Richard Vines, formerly the long-time chief food critic for Bloomberg, has died aged 71.
Among the most high-profile figures on the London restaurant scene, Vines spent 26 years at Bloomberg before retiring in 2021. Michael Bloomberg, the co-founder of the company bearing his name, is said to have rung Vines before his departure in order to facilitate his staying. Vines demurred.
