Simmons expressed his disapproval in a statement, indicating that major studios are interested in collaborating with him on telling his own story. He humorously suggested Tom Cruise to play him in his own biopic.
Simmons' comments came after it was reported that Jordan Allen-Dutton was set to write the script for the biopic, which currently lacks a title and specific details. Shore, who is slated to play Simmons in the film, expressed his disappointment at Simmons' disapproval, offering to pitch the idea in person.
