Richard Sherman has spent the fall debating Skip Bayless on FS1’s Undisputed, and so far the two seem to have gotten along fairly well. However, one exchange got tense to the point where Sherman appeared visibly frustrated with Bayless on Tuesday.
Those two, along with Keyshawn Johnson, were debating hip-drop tackles in football, as several players have been injured recently with this style of tackle. During the debate, Sherman defended the practice and took a jab at Bayless for his lack of knowledge on the topic.
“You’re not speaking from experience, so stop raising your voice, Skip,” Sherman said.
Then, after Bayless brought up his covering the league longer than Sherman played in it, the former cornerback got even more heated.
“You’re speaking on something you have no experience doing,” Sherman told Bayless. “You’ve covered the game? I’ve actually played the game longer than you ever played! What we’re talking about is something that actually happens in the game that you can’t experience unless you play it.”

Hip-drop tackles have been a hot-button topic in the football world of late, but Sherman maintains there isn’t a solution to solve the issue that can reasonably be put in place. As a former star cornerback, Sherman fiercely defended defensive players, especially as Bayless tried to oppose him.
