Police have appealed for help to find a missing south London man who communicates using sign language.
Richard Rodrigues, from Peckham, was reported missing on September 13 and was last seen on Camberwell Road on September 16.
Police said the 29-year-old is non-verbal and communicates with sign language. He is known to use public transport and has links to various locations around London.
Detective Inspector Jay Navaratnarajah of the Met's Public Protection Department said: "Richard’s family are understandably worried and the longer he remains missing, the more the concern grows for his welfare.
“We have pursued numerous lines of enquiry and are in regular contact with our partners across the transport network should Richard be spotted there.
Issuing an appeal to Richard to make contact, DI Navaratnarajah said officers believed he may have tried to make phone contact using a messaging service in the early hours of Friday morning.
“Richard, if that was you please get in contact or go to a police station so we know that you are safe and well,” he said.
Officers ask anyone that has an immediate sighting of Richard to please dial 999 immediately. Anyone who has information about his whereabouts is asked to call 101, quoting reference 01/837718/24.
