Businesses based all over the North West have confirmed a string of new appointments and promotions over the last seven days.
Companies such as law firms through to an operator of high-end service stations are among those to have made major moves.
Below, we round up the latest hires and promotions that we feel you should not miss.

Westmorland
A former chief executive of the Co-op who helped rebuilt the group following its banking crisis has landed a new role.
Richard Pennycook has joined a group that runs upmarket service stations as its new director.
Cumbria-based Westmorland operates Tebay Services, Gloucester Services, Ciam Lodge Services, J38 Truck Stop, Tebay Services Hotel and the Rheged Centre.
Former Carr's Group chief financial officer Neil Austin has also become CFO of the firm, according to new filings with Companies House.
MHA Moore and Smalley
MHA Moore and Smalley has added to its corporate finance team with the appointment of experienced deal-making professional Michelle Mullany.
Michelle joins the firm’s Manchester-based corporate finance team in the position of deal originator having spent 20 years in business development roles with EY.
She will work with the team to identify and build relationships with entrepreneurs, owner-managed and family-owned businesses who need support with projects including raising finance, acquisitions and business sales.
She said: "I love working with entrepreneurs, supporting them on their growth journey and helping them to achieve positive outcomes.
"MHA Moore and Smalley is a firm that offers a personal touch to support business owners and I’m excited to be a part of that."
Access to Finance
Lancashire County Council’s Access to Finance service has added its team of advisers with two appointments.
Iain Duncan joins after spending more than 35 years in a variety of roles at HSBC, most recently as deputy head of corporate banking for Greater Manchester and Lancashire.
He has also run his own business consultancy providing strategic advice and guidance to North West-based businesses.
Nick Pickles has joined the service from TaxAssist Accountants based in Chorley, where he led the franchise for nine years, overseeing nine consecutive years of profitable growth. Before this, he was a board member at a multinational franchising business and has also led a fast-growing SME business.
Express Solicitors
Manchester-based Express Solicitors has appointed a team of six serious injury specialists from Linder Myers.
The personal injury firm has added partners Andrew McBride and Mark Howarth as well as associate chartered legal executive Claire Reddicen, trainee solicitors Dominic Stait and Lottie Brenton and legal secretary Joanna Quiligotti.

Beever and Struthers
Narinder Sandher has been promoted to partner at accountants and business advisors Beever and Struthers within the firm’s risk, audit, assurance and advisory team in Manchester.
He said: "I’m delighted to be a part of such a dynamic firm. I’m proud to work with a dedicated and professional team able to deliver such outstanding client service resulting in a huge range of new opportunities for the firm."

Harrison Drury
North West law firm Harrison Drury has appointed an experienced former banking professional to help it support the agricultural and rural community.
Wayne Ellison, who enjoyed a 38-year career with the business banking team at Barclays, has joined the firm as a rural business development consultant.
Wayne, who lives near Clitheroe, said: "I’ve had a great career supporting SMEs and their owners. For the last 10 plus years, I specialised as an agricultural relationship manager covering Cumbria, Lancashire and North Yorkshire.
"I’ve really enjoy working with farmers, contractors and other rural businesses on their growth and diversification plans."
Colliers
Commercial real estate firm Colliers has hired Ian Quinn to join the project and building consultancy team based in the firm’s Manchester office at Chancery Place.
The building surveyor joins as an associate director, following four years as a project manager at consultancy C4 Projects working predominantly within the industrial sector.
Mr Quinn said: "I’m looking forward to switching back towards the specialism of building surveying, and to exploring the buildings that our clients are looking to renovate and build.
"Colliers is a respected consultancy in the north west and I look forward to working with a broad range of clients and their properties."
