The BBC has announced a number of top names to replace Richard Osman on daytime episodes of Pointless. Sally Lindsay, Alex Brooker, Lauren Laverne, Stephen Mangan, Konnie Huq and Ed Gamble will all join Alexander Armstrong on the long-running quiz show.
Osman, who has published a series of best-selling crime novels, will continue to co-host Pointless Celebrities and his BBC Two quiz show, Richard Osman’s House of Games. He had hosted Pointless since 2009.
Armstrong says: “This is going to be such a ride! Richard will still be in once a week on Saturdays to make sure everything’s ticking over nicely, but otherwise it’s just me bringing new Pointless friends in and showing them the ropes. Loads of new and fun personalities on the desk next to me. I can’t wait.”
