Richard Madeley confirmed he will be a grandad again on Good Morning Britain.

James told the GMB host on Tuesday morning that he was going to be a grandfather again, as Ranvir Singh congratulated her co-host and their show guest.

Richard had teased there was going to be something personal revealed on the show before James said: "Well Richard, Chloe and I are expecting our first child. We are going to be having a little girl, and you are going to be a grandfather once again."

The proud grandfather-to-be was delighted to help share the news as he beamed from ear to ear, and went on to show a scan picture.

He said: "We can actually see the child. Chloe sent us this, there we are her three month scan.

"That's the little girl, looks like she's reading the paper doesn't it?"

James then praised Richard as a grandfather, sharing his excitement for the family to expand.

He said: "I've seen Richard with his other grandson Kit, and he's the best grandfather in the world so I'm very, very happy."

Richard replied: "Well I've got the best grandchildren in the world."

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV and the ITV Hub.
