- TV presenter Richard Hammond was caught speeding twice within three weeks in December last year while driving his luxury cars in Herefordshire .
- On December 2, his Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo was clocked at 68mph in a 50mph zone, and on December 22, his Bentley Continental GT was recorded at 82mph in a 70mph zone.
- West Mercia Police initially struggled to locate Hammond, sending speeding tickets to multiple properties which were returned as 'addressee gone away', before eventually tracking him to his mansion in Wales .
- Hammond pleaded guilty through his lawyers to the two speeding charges at Telford Magistrates’ Court last week, resulting in seven penalty points being added to his licence.
- He was ordered to pay a total of £1,771, comprising two fines of £333 and £666, £240 in costs and £532 in victim surcharges.
