Rhys McClenaghan has been hailed as a great ambassador for Ireland after winning gold at the European Gymnastics Championships last weekend.
After qualifying in top-spot, the County Down star held off stiff competition to take home gold in the pommel horse event.
The 23-year-old's victory sparked wild celebrations up and down the island, and the gymnastics star has been earning huge amounts of praise on social media for his terrific performance last week.

"Absolutely fantastic! You are amazing! This needs to celebrated and recognised at even higher levels," said David.
Zach said, "That is so wonderful. Congratulations on a well deserved win."
Mairead echoed these sentiments by saying, "Fantastic achievement.. congratulations."
While Clodagh said, "You are amazing. Congratulations on your fantastic achievement. You so deserve it."
Victory in the pommel horse last week represents another sizeable achievement in what has already been a stellar career for the youngster, who also took home European gold five years ago.
Commonwealth and World titles have followed for the gymnastics star, and with the 2024 Paris Olympics a little over a year away, McClenaghan will be one of Ireland's medal hopefuls heading into that event.
