They're on people's bucket lists all around south Wales and beyond and make perfect Facebook cover photos and posts on Instagram - and now we're just a few days away from being able to walk through the gorgeous lavender fields at Three Crosses, and just a few weeks away from admiring the beautiful sunflower fields in Rhossili!
The beautiful, natural attractions in Gower captivate thousands of people every year and will soon be open to the public for the 2023 season.
Owner and director of Gower Fresh Christmas Trees, the local independent company behind the lavender fields, sunflowers fields and Gower Christmas trees, Rob Morgan, has confirmed that the lavender fields at Three Crosses will be open to the public from this Friday, June 16, and that he and his team are planning to open the sunflower fields at Rhossili to the public in mid-July.
"The sunflowers are thriving at the moment in the hot weather and the porpoises are jumping in Rhossili bay! The sunflowers really are reaching for the skies - it never gets old! It's breathtaking down there and they're nearly ready," he added.

Full details of what will be available to visit at the sunflower fields in Rhossili will be announced nearer their opening date - when information is shared, we will update this article. For now, we know the gorgeous fields and photo arch will be back - but the "big wheel" attraction mentioned on social media earlier this year will not be there. That is because, contrary to the belief of hundreds of people who shared a social media post about it, its announcement was an April Fools joke!
In the meantime, a statement on the Gower Fresh Christmas Trees website explains what's on offer at the lavender fields at Three Crosses: "Come and immerse yourself in the stunning lavender fields at Gower Fresh farm this June, open from 12 noon till 8pm. With live music, pet and family photographers on site, and the option to stay all day, it's the perfect opportunity for a family day out or a romantic picnic!
"You can even enjoy some acoustic music in the marquee on weekends, accompanied by a bar offering a range of exquisite drinks, including Prosecco, gin, wine, and craft ales. We’ll provide the blanket and there will be food on offer too! Gower Fresh Farm is the perfect destination for a truly unforgettable summer day out." A post on social media confirmed the lavender fields would be open to the public from this Friday, June 16, and added that admittance was by ticket only. "For those that can't wait for Sunflower opening, we have just launched [our lavender fields] at our farm in Three Crosses Swansea, SA4 3PB. Tickets now on sale for lavender fields online here, additional tickets may be released later once crop assessed - but not guaranteed," the post explained.
"Ticket entry only to control parking. On-site professional photographers, follow instructions on website to book, only those on our website are permitted. Live music on Saturdays and Sundays in the afternoon in our marquee food and bar area.
"Bar open noon to 8pm Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, fields open Wednesdays and Thursdays noon to 8pm, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays noon to 9pm. Only food and alcohol purchased on the premises may be consumed due to licence conditions.
"[At the farm, you can] pick your own bunches [and visit the] photo arch, dog arch, giant's chair, see and feed the reindeer, enjoy a craft beer, prosecco, glass of wine or lavender gin, and chill and sunbathe in the lavender."
"With Rhossilli sunflowers, no ticket will be needed, you just pay on the gate," added Mr Morgan.
