Running as the anchor leg in the 4x400m finals, Adeleke saved her best for last and ran a split time of 49.2 seconds, the quickest time in the 20-year-old's fledgling career.

For her exploits over the weekend, Adeleke was named joint winner of the outstanding women athlete of the race meeting along with her Texas University teammate Julien Aflred.

Into her third season Stateside, Adeleke has blossomed into one of the most promising young sprinters in the world.

Her performances over the course of this year's indoor season were staggering, with the Tallaght AC star smashing Irish records in both the 200m and 400m events in the space of 21 days back in February.

Long considered to be a medal hopeful for Ireland for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, Adeleke's sparkling 2023 form has seen her emerge as a serious medal contender at next year's event in Paris.
