The Los Angeles Rams are in the final hours of being the defending Super Bowl champions because tonight, a new victor will be crowned. The Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs are set to square off in Super Bowl LVII today, a matchup between the two No. 1 seeds in the playoffs this year.
But before one of them becomes the new champion, let’s relive the Rams’ Super Bowl victory from a year ago. They took down the Bengals in Super Bowl LVI last February, beating them 23-20 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. It was a relatively close game throughout, with the Rams ultimately scoring the game-winning touchdown with 1:25 left in the fourth quarter – a 1-yard pass from Matthew Stafford to Cooper Kupp.
The Rams trailed for almost all of the second half after Tee Higgins scored a 75-yard touchdown 12 seconds into the third quarter, falling behind by as many as seven points. But the Rams scored the final 10 points of the game to take home the Lombardi Trophy.
Below is a 16-minute highlight reel from the game last year.
