Seeing my son's face light up as the Tiger popped his head around the door was absolutely priceless.
As his first introduction to theatre, seeing the stage adaption of one of his favourite books was perfect. The Tiger Who Came To Tea has been a family favourite for generations and seeing it on the stage makes it easy to see why.
The Olivier Award nominated smash hit show takes the beloved book and brings it to life with songs and comedy moments perfect for wee ones.

Every time the door bell rang on stage my son jumped up wanting to know if it was the Tiger, he was so excited to see him appear on stage.
When he did, the whole audience went crazy and there was a bit of panto fun as the Tiger hid from Sophie and her mummy. The Tiger costume was fantastic and did make my son question if it was a real Tiger or not.
It follows the story you will probably know by heart sprinkled with catchy new songs and a little bit of magic. My son loved when the Tiger ate all the food and how they made it disappear on stage.
The show is just under an hour long which is an ideal length of time for kids as I don't think I would expect my three-year-old to sit still for much longer.
The small cast did a fantastic job at keeping the attention of a young audience and getting them to participate which is key in winning them over.
I would highly recommend this family show for your children if they are fans of the book and you will love how their faces light up as it comes to lie on stage. Special memories will be made.
