The Mayor of London has unveiled the capital’s first-ever heat resilience plan as the city swelters in a record June hot spell.
The scale of the challenge to London is huge, with City Hall analysis showing around one million London homes are at risk of overheating, alongside 1,361 schools, 60 hospitals and 351 care homes in areas most vulnerable to extreme heat.
