Iran’s navy in the Gulf of Oman has been wiped out, say US defence chiefs.
US Central Command said 11 vessels had been taken out of action in the waters leading to the Strait of Hormuz used by tankers carrying around one fifth of the world’s oil supplies and seaborne gas.
