Welsh Government ministers have approved funding of nearly £3.5m for three major town and city centre investments.
The biggest funding boost was up to £2m towards plans for the Butcher’s and General Markets in Wrexham.
Wrexham Butcher’s Market was opened in 1848 and the General Market in 1879 and the revamp is aimed at revitalising the sites.

Welsh Government also allocated just over £1m in additional funding for the Neath Town Centre mixed use leisure and commercial scheme. It is hoped this project will boost footfall in the centre of the town.
There is also an additional £410,755 for the Wind Street public realm scheme in Swansea.
The new-look Wind Street aims to give a lift to the café quarter of the city centre.
