REV'IT!’s New ADV Gear Wants To Be Many Things At Once. But Can It?

ADV gear is weirdly complicated when you stop and think about it. It has to be comfortable enough to wear all day, functional enough to adapt as conditions change, and protective where it matters. You might start a ride in cool morning air, hit the heat by midday, then deal with rain on the way back. Add in standing on the pegs, moving around the bike, and hours in the saddle, and suddenly your jacket and pants have a very hard job.

When it’s done right, the gear fades into the background. You forget it’s even there because nothing’s binding, overheating, flapping, or distracting you. That’s the goal. And having owned several pieces of REV'IT! gear over the years, that’s something this brand consistently gets right. Their best ADV gear simply works while you focus on the ride.

That mindset is deeply tied to where the brand finds its roots. Based in the Netherlands, it was shaped by a riding environment where the weather is unpredictable and practicality matters. That influence shows in their design language. REV'IT! isn’t loud or gimmicky. It’s all about function before form. The gear is made for riders who rack up real miles and care more about performance and comfort than standing out in a parking lot.

The new Offtrack 3 H2O jacket and pants for the upcoming riding season fit squarely into that philosophy. At first glance, the rally-inspired look is pretty eye-catching. But if we take a closer look at the spec sheet, the real story becomes clear. Both pieces use a lightweight three-layer construction designed to cover a huge range of conditions without forcing you to overthink your setup.

The Offtrack 3 H2O jacket starts with a durable PWR Shell and Ripstop outer layer that's meant to be light but confidence-inspiring. Large ventilation panels at the chest and back move air when you’re riding slow or working hard off-road. Underneath, there’s a detachable thermal liner jacket for cooler temperatures, along with a Hydratex waterproof layer that can be worn over or under the shell depending on how much rain you’re dealing with.

Protection stays consistent no matter how you configure it. The jacket comes standard with REV'IT!'s signature ventilated CE-level 2 SEEFLEX armor at the shoulders and elbows, shaped to stay close to the body while you move. It’s also ready for upgrades, including a CE-level 2 back protector and CE-level 1 chest protectors for riders who want more coverage.

The Offtrack 3 H2O pants follow the same logic. A softshell and ripstop outer layer forms the base, paired with thigh ventilation that helps dump heat when speeds drop. A detachable thermal liner adds warmth when needed, while the Hydratex waterproof pants give you flexible rain protection without locking you into a single setup.

Armor comes in the form of CE-level 2 SEEFLEX knee protectors and thin, flexible CE-level 1 SEESMART hip armor. The emphasis is comfort and mobility, which matters on long ADV days where you’re constantly shifting positions.

What makes the Offtrack 3 H2O jacket and pants compelling isn’t necessarily a single standout feature. It’s how everything works together seamlessly and modularly. This is gear designed to disappear once you start riding, which is exactly what good gear should do.
