Johnny Kenny has opened up about the "worst night of his career", as he looks to make the grade at Celtic.
The 22-year-old striker, who recently finished his loan deal with Bolton Wanderers, was heavily used during the first half of the 2025/26 campaign under Brendan Rodgers, Martin O'Neill, and Wilfried Nancy, scoring six times in that time
Despite thriving under O'Neill, his time with Nancy did not fare so well, with his performance at Dundee United last December attracting criticism.
In a new interview, Kenny has reflected on his experience in Tayside, where Celtic were defeated 2-1 by Jim Goodwin's side. "It was probably one of the worst nights of my career," he admitted. "You just have to get it out of your memory as soon as possible and wake up the next morning, the sun's still shining, so you need to get on with it. [Daily Record]

“There's nothing you can do about it. But that was probably one of the toughest nights of my career. It is what it is now, I unfortunately have to move on. You can't dwell on it. If I could go back in time and get all those chances again, I wish I could.
“But you just need to keep going. You got that far for a reason, one game ain't going to define it."
On the importance of next season, Kenny continued, “No, I won't say it's make or break. At the moment, I just want to get back fit. And once I get back fit, I believe I can put myself in a great position to be available at Celtic come the summer.
"Who the manager is, we don't know. But all I can concentrate on now is getting fit and taking it from there."
