The PS5 isn’t exactly swimming in exclusives yet, through Returnal is undoubtedly one that shines. The British Academy Game Awards (BAFTA) probably wouldn’t have given the game nine nominations otherwise!
On Thursday, Retrunal was nominated in the final two BAFTA categories: “Performer in a Leading Role” and “Performer in a Supporting Role,” bringing its total nominations to nine. Returnal is also up for BATFA’s “Artistic Achievement,” “Music,” “Game Design,” and “Best Game” awards, among others.
The 2022 BAFTA Game Awards are happing on April 7, 2022, and will be broadcasting on Twitch and YouTube. Other popular games like Halo Infinite, Deathloop, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and It Takes Two have several nominations as well.

The complete BAFTA nominations list is up here. Coming in for most nominations (after Returnal) is It Takes Two and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart with eight and seven, respectively. Pretty big year for PS4 and PS5 titles in particular.
