Retired IPS officer G. Raghava Reddy passed away here on Monday. Ninety-four-year-old Reddy served the police department for 30 years and retired in 1986 in the cadre of Deputy Inspector General of Police.
The funeral would be held on Tuesday at Mahaprasthanam in Jubilee Hills around 11 a.m. Born in Pembarthy village of Warangal district, Mr. Reddy initially joined Hyderabad Police Service and eventually got inducted into IPS.
Mr. Reddy oversaw investigation of several sensational cases. As I Look Back, a book authored by him, is rated as a treatise on policing.
