Retired couple 'trapped in freezing hotel room' after spending savings on dream holiday

A British couple who spent £1000 of their savings on their 'dream holiday' say they were stuck in a dingy room and made to feel 'like prisoners'.

Elderly John Robinson, 82 and his wife Sally visited sunny Southport after spending many summers in the holiday spot and say the coastal town is their dream destination

In September 2022, John and Sally finally used up their savings for an extended stay in hotel they'd always hoped to stay in - The Royal Clifton Hotel. It had always been on the couple's bucket list according to their son Kev Robinson, 43.
