Restoring expunged records on NewsClick row unprecedented, says Adhir Chowdhury

NEW DELHI: Leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has objected to the restoration of the expunged remarks made by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey on news portal NewsClick in the Lok Sabha on Monday and said it has never happened before.

At noon on Monday, Dubey had raised in Lok Sabha the issue of a news report in the New York Times which claimed that web portal NewsClick has received Rs 38 crore funding and the money has been used to create an anti-India environment. "... Between 2005 and 2014, the Chinese government has paid money to Congress.... Congress wants to divide India...," the BJP MP from Godda in Jharkhand had alleged, amid opposition uproar.
