An Indian restaurant in Bolton has hit back at a one-star review from a disgruntled diner on Tripadvisor.
Achari in Bolton has been called a "must-visit" for curry lovers, but was given a less than flattering review by a customer who claimed the food was late and said the service was "rubbish".
The Bolton restaurant is currently in the top 15 restaurants in Bolton on Tripadvisor with 393 "excellent" reviews. But amongst the glowing write-ups is a one-star post left a week ago on the customer reviews website.

The diner, who visited the restaurant in December, headlined the post 'take out delivery service' and wrote: "1 hr late ...ordered at 1pm delivery at 5.30 .Always the same. Cannot get in touch directly rubbish service."
They added: "Maybe that's why they dont use 'just eat' platform !! Food hygiene standards rating affects and has an .impact on the platform and availability of the restaurant."
Whether good or bad, Achari responds to all of its feedback left on the site and this latest post was no different. General manager Sid issued a measured but savage reply in response to the claims.
He wrote: "The restaurant opens at 5pm Monday - Saturday and 4pm on Sunday. Achari online service users are aware that if you preorder your Takeaway before 5pm, the 1hr+ delivery time starts from the time we open 5pm. You got your Delivery within the hour which is fantastic.
"Food Hygiene Standard? We have food hygiene rating 5 from a recent visit only a couple of months ago.
"Regards to Getting in touch? We have the alternative options when our phone line is very busy during peak time…"
The restaurant then listed all the different ways customers can get in touch including Facebook, WhatsApp, Google Cha and email.
Having the last word, Sid signed off the response by simply stating, "Thank you for Feedback, Team Achari". Other recent reviews for the restaurant on Tripadvisor describe it as a "must-visit for curry lovers", with "delicious" food and "great, friendly service".
The eatery on Crook Street in the town centre was also shortlisted for the prestigious Asian Curry Awards for 2022, nominated in the North West section of the Asian Restaurant of the Year category. The owners of Achari also set up Family-run Indian restaurant Imli in Heywood last year.
