Resident Evil Requiem's Leon actor doesn't know who he's married to either: "That's a Capcom question"

Leon exits his Porsche into streets at night in Resident Evil Requiem.

Leon Kennedy actor Nick Apostolides has acknowledged the mystery of his character's wedding ring… but sadly, he doesn't know who he's married to, either.

Resident Evil Requiem has been out for a few weeks now, sold 6 million copies, and it has inspired a lot of discussion. So what are people saying about Capcom's latest survival horror entry? Is it the new lore drops and how the likes of Resident Evil Outbreak's Alyssa Ashcroft is handled? Is it how her daughter and Requiem protagonist Grace Ashcroft can work in the series going forward? What the DLC is going to be about? There's probably some of that, but the main question is, why the hell is there a wedding ring on Leon's finger?

Yes, Mr. "Hot Unc" himself has seemingly married someone prior to Requiem, and the fever around this news has apparently resulted in fake screenshots of director Koshi Nakanishi implying the lucky lady is Ada Wong. But Skill Up spoke to the Leon actor Apostolides directly, saying "He's married?" to which Apostolides answers, "Hey, that's a Capcom question."

Apostolides continues, "I think that's what they implied, and I think I'll get in trouble for saying anything more." The actor – who has been Leon's voice since 2019's Resident Evil 2 remake – explained that so many people have been asking him who the mystery partner is, but all he can say is, "That is not for me to know. I don't know."

Honestly, whatever Capcom's canon is, I'm sure some people will be unhappy. The developer's best bet for universal approval is probably having Leon's wife be some complete unknown. Although, I'm personally on team Claire Redfield in the hopes that we actually get to see her in a new game for the first time in over a decade.
