Resident Evil Requiem's Grace actor "would love" to act in more video games: "I had so much fun"

Grace enters a crime scene in Resident Evil Requiem.

Angela Sant'Albano, the actor who made her video game debut as Grace Ashcroft in Resident Evil Requiem, "would love" to appear in more video games.

Up until Resident Evil Requiem, Sant'Albano was primarily known for her roles in TV series like Industry and I Hate Suzie, but now that she's played a leading role in what will almost certainly be a game of the year contender — and done a darn fine job, I might add — she's more than open to further video game work.

"I would love to [do more video games,] Sant'Albano says in an interview with Skill Up (timestamped here). "I had so much fun doing motion capture. I would love to do it again and to explore different genres. Same with film, TV, stage, I love it all. If there's a good story, there's a good story, so I'm up for anything."

Sant'Albano's performance as Grace is one of the reasons her character's sections are so incredibly tense, as she was able to portray stress, anxiety, and panic very authentically to real life in my experience, making those scenes feel all the more real and thus terrifying. That's a long way of saying, I'm all for more Sant'Albano performances in games.

I recently had the chance to talk with her myself about her performance, and she told me Capcom was pushing for more "cinematic" performances to help the game keep pace with its advancements on the technical side of things, although she clarified that she was also given plenty of freedom to re-do scenes that she personally wasn't happy with, even if they were technically perfect in Capcom's view.

Resident Evil Requiem's Leon actor yearns for a team-up with the "underutilized" Sheva Alomar, so Ada and Claire might want to redownload Hinge: "I just love her character"
