Resident Evil Requiem director Koshi Nakanishi is adding fuel to the fire, seemingly poking fun at the fanbase's obsession with Leon Kennedy's relationship status while announcing the game's DLC.Since the latest entry of the franchise released, "hot unc" protagonist Mr. Leon S. Kennedy has been the centre to the conversation, largely thanks to the overwhelming thirst for him, as well as the revelation that he has seemingly married someone prior to the game's events. But people want to know who it is, with potentially fake screenshots of Nakanishi implying it's Ada Wong circulating online.Earlier today, Capcom confirmed Resident Evil Requiem DLC in the form of photo mode, a "minigame" (that surely has to be The Mercenaries) and a story expansion via a video of Nakanishi thanking fans for the game's success and positive reception. Before announcing "one more thing," he shuffles through different pieces of paper, with the first showing Leon and an unnamed woman in something called "Forbidden Requiem Requiem." He quickly takes it away, saying "whoops..."

This sheet also shows a screenshot of the TV series The Bachelor, with Leon in the titular role, clearly poking fun at the conversation around the character. Of course, everyone took this as a cheeky nod, with one user saying "this man is shaking the whole fandom." Meanwhile another is genuinely trying to figure out who this mystery woman shown in the image is, so obviously this isn't going to do anything to stop the great marriage debate.Be sure to check out our Resident Evil Requiem review if you're yet to play Capcom's new horror game, or our guide to Resident Evil Requiem's safe codes if you've already gotten started.
